The territory

The Santa Domenica Vittoria territory is typical of the upper part of the Nebrodi mountains: large pasture land limited by mountains as high as 1500 meters above sea level, oaks woods, valleys with perennial rivers. The Etna volcano, 3500 meters high, is from several observation points, a dramatic and fascinating sightseeing.

The climate is charcterized by warm and dry summers, mild autumns gradually changing into cold winters, and finally by springtimes that starting from rainy and humid conditions quickly open themselves to the new summer.

Rainfalls are frequenty, except from late springtime till middle autumn, and during the wintertime there are heavy rains and abundant snow falls; as a consequence in the territory there is a good availability of spring water.
