The territory

The Comune di Mirto territory is typical of the coastal tirrenic area; a sequence of long hills connecting the internal areas to the sea and separated by valleys of different width, where small rivers flow.

The rainfalls, even not remarkable, adequately supply the orographic system, thus ensuring to the small flat fields a stable and not too deep woter table, even during the long sicilian summer.
